Update on COVID-19 in Canada

As of Thursday October 8th, 2020 the number of active cases of COVID-19 in Canada is an all-time high of 18,271, surpassing the previous peak in May.

Total Canadian cases since the start of the pandemic is now over 175,000. 8,492 of the current cases are in Quebec, which has reported over 1000 new cases each, for 5 of the last 7 days. Ontario has also reached a new high of 797 new cases in a single day, reported October 8th. [1]
