As of Monday October 26th, 2020 the number of active cases of COVID-19 in Canada is an all-time high of 24,657.
Total Canadian cases since the start of the pandemic is now over 217 thousand. Quebec’s numbers have been in decline since mid-October; the province has 8,947 active cases. On Friday, Ontario reached a new high with 1,042 cases reported in a single day, but on Monday it was back down to 851. Numbers continue to rise in the prairies, Yukon, and North West Territories, while new daily cases are in decline in BC and the maritime provinces. [1]
