Canadian Airlines Add Cargo Capacity to Meet Increasing Demand

coracle News

Canadian airlines WestJet and Cargojet are both adding freighter capacity in 2022. The explosion of air cargo demand since the start of the pandemic coupled with the lack of freighter capacity has led to Canadian airlines investing in new aircraft.

WestJet Cargo has plans to add four Boeing Converted Freighter aircrafts in 2022, which will be used for express cargo and e-commerce freight. Cargojet has increased its commitments to six B777s which have expected delivery dates between 2024 to 2026. All this is good news for Canaan Group’s customers as it adds more options. As an IATA cargo agent for over 30 years, we have direct contracts with over 15 airlines which allows us to offer secure space to our customers.
