coracle News

According to IATA World Air Transport Statistics (WATS), overall global air cargo volume increased by 18.7% in 2021, after a decline of 10.6% in 2020 and an increase of 6.9% in the pre-Covid year of 2019.

IATA also revealed the top 25 air cargo carriers of 2021, with the top 5 being FedEx, Qatar Airways, UPS, Emirates, and Korean Air. FedEx retained its top position and benefitted from strong demand for e-commerce, Covid vaccines, PPE, international export, and US domestic packages. Qatar Airways moved into the number 2 spot due to pandemic-related cargo charters and increased passenger operations. In Canada, Air Canada has increased more capacity this year for freighter services. For inquiries, please contact our Air Freight Department at air@canaangroup.ca.
